Butte Co Fire station 42 firefighter Mike Velazquez extinguishes a vehicle fire on the engine of a 1993 Toyota 4Runner Saturday behind the Texaco Gas station on East Ave. and Hwy99. Allen Wilson was driving to the vet with his wife Julia and two dogs as he pulled off the Hwy99, East Ave offramp when he smelt gasoline. He then pulled into the parking lot behind the gas station when the vehicle began to smoke. Wilson called 911 and waited for the fire department to put out the fire.
