Bruce Hall takes a picture of a fire on lower Humbolt Rd and hwy32 Saturday around 4:30pm. Hall was first on scene when he photographed a car and tree be engulfed in flames. CDF and Chico Fire responded and extinguished the 1.5 acre fire. The car, believed to be an abandoned Honda CRX was stripped of its engine, front axle, tires, and other items. It was unsure at this time wether the car was the cause of the fire. The liscene plate was not found and vin number was to be identified. - halley photo 8/20/05

Police detained Jason Storni (aka Psycho), 27, who was arrested with the connection of a stabbing behind 7-11 and Mr. Copy downtown Chico Thursday around 4pm. Another man in his mid 20's, Jedadiah Lewis (sp?)aka Jedi is still at large. Although a knife was found there is believe to be another knife involved. - Halley photo 7/14/05

Bison Collision

Cal Trans Wreck

A young girl had to be extricated from the vehicle and was flightcare to Enloe. The driver and other child of the Cheverolet were taken to Enloe hospital. Felony Flee

CHP officer make a traffic stop for a cell phone while driving violation. Attempting to detain three individuals in the vehicle, one suspect, Chase Forcier, fled from arrest. Other units were called in to set up a perimeter to search for the suspect. Chico Police K-9 "Ray" was called in for the search and the suspect Forcier was located in a trailer behind a business along 2500 Zanella Way. Forcier was a passenger in the vehicle, who had a felony warrant (4532-b1) for felony escape. The driver of the toyota pickup truck was a parolee and the passenger had no criminal issue that police were aware of at the time. Needles and a smoking pipe were found in the vehicle.
